and Sunday mornings you can learn to speak Thai at Wat
Thai in North Hollywood. Ask for Dara Sutthisuwan, she
will help you to get to the right places.
This class offers you an introduction to the Thai language
- and Thailand itself. It can be your window on one of
the most fascinating countries in Southeast Asia. Thailand
has much to offer - it's rich culture, ancient traditions,
magnificent architecture, and most of all, it's lovely
people. Thais are by nature both friendly and open. In
Thailand "hospitality" is not just a concept,
it's a way of life. Once you experience it, you will never
forget it, and language is the key.

These are
the Classes for 2005-2006
Beginning
This class
offers you an introduction to the Thai language - and
Thailand itself. It can be your window on one of the most
fascinating countries in Southeast Asia. Thailand has
much to offer - its rich culture, ancient traditions,
magnificent architecture, and most of all, its lovely
people. Thais are by nature both friendly and open. In
Thailand "hospitality" is not just a concept,
it's a way of life. Once you experience it, you will never
forget it, and language is the key. Students will learn
Thai consonants, vowels, tone marks and simple conversation.
Time: 9:30
a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (Basement)
Intermediate
This class
is recommended for those who already know how to read
and write in the Thai language. This class will focus
on conversational Thai, to expand your vocabulary for
touring Thailand. You will also learn to read simple documents,
street signs, use Thai numbers, and other information
necessary to explore Thailand.
Time: 11:00
a.m. to 12:30 p.m.(Basement)
Advanced
This class
is for those who have completed the Intermediate level
or have a better understanding of Thai, To join us, you
should be able to read, write and speak Thai at a higher
level. This class will expand upon your knowledge of grammar,
sentence structure, and conversation. The instructor will
mostly speak Thai.
Time: 10:00
a.m. to Noon (library)
